SEAYA keeps cookies to a minimum. We use only what is needed to sign you in, run the free guest allowance and remember your preferences, and we never use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
1.What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (such as localStorage) works in a similar way and lets a website remember information on your device.
This policy explains which of these SEAYA, provided by 3XAYA LTD, uses on seaya.ai and in our apps, and why. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2.The short version
- We only use cookies and storage that are needed to run SEAYA and to remember your preferences.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies.
- We do not sell information from cookies or use it to build advertising profiles.
- Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and storage, we do not show a cookie consent banner.
4.Browser storage we use
SEAYA uses your browser's localStorage to remember things on your device. This information stays in your browser and is not used for tracking:
- Preferences, such as your theme (light or dark), language and app settings, for example whether web search is on and the width of the preview panel.
- Guest chats. If you use SEAYA without an account, your chats are kept in your browser so you can see them again. They are not saved to an account.
- Small app state, such as pinned chats and whether you have seen a notice, so the app works the way you left it.
If you install SEAYA as an app, your browser may also store app files so that SEAYA loads quickly and can show an offline page.
5.Third parties
We do not allow advertising networks or analytics providers to set cookies through SEAYA.
When you pay, you are taken to our payment provider, Stripe, which may set its own cookies on its pages to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies.
When you use web search or the SEAYA Agent, websites are visited from our servers or from a private cloud browser, not from your own browser, so those websites do not set cookies on your device.
6.How to control cookies and storage
You are in control of what is stored on your device:
- Sign out to remove your authentication cookies.
- Use your browser settings to see and delete cookies and site data for seaya.ai, or to block cookies. Clearing site data will also remove guest chats and preferences stored in your browser.
- If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in, and the guest allowance may not work.
7.Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date. If we ever want to use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.
